Vilma Blenman is a mother of millennials, a writer, and a former teacher with the Toronto District School Board.

Currently on sabbatical from her work as an RP (Register Psychotherapist)the writer-teacher and therapist mix is reflected in her prose and poetry, giving her writing a distinctive voice that explores the contents of the human heart, the intersections where cultures meet and the meaning of faith in God as foundational in one's life. 

Vilma has been published in Ekstasis, in Fresh Voices, (the League of Canadian Poets), in the Hot Apple Cider series, and recently in the McMaster Journal of Theology and Ministry.


An avid gardener and mango eater, she enjoys nature’s bounties and draws on imagery from both her Jamaican and Canadian landscapes.
