Vilma Blenman is a mother of millennials, a writer and a former teacher with the Toronto District School Board.

Currently she works as an RP (Registered Psychotherapist) at LifeCare Centres. The writer-teacher therapist mix is reflected in her prose and poetry, giving her writing a distinctive voice that explores the underpinnings of the human heart, the intersections where cultures meet and the meaning of being.

Vilma writes poetry to process social and spiritual issues. An avid gardener and mango eater, she enjoys nature’s bounties and draws on imagery from both her Jamaican and Canadian landscapes.

This website celebrates the beauty and power of words and highlights mental health matters. Vilma writes life.
